Zerina
Zerina is a Registered Dental Hygienist since 2012. She attended DMACC and has been in the field since 2010. She loves spending time with her husband and family, enjoys traveling, and spending time outdoors. Zerina and her husband have three energetic children that they enjoy entertaining. Our staff admires and appreciates her positive attitude and dedication. Zerina is passionate about her patient’s oral health and always looks forward to seeing their smiling faces.
Katie
Katie joined our hygiene team in 2021. She has been in the dental field since 2009 when she started dental assisting for her dad, a dentist in Paullina, IA. She graduated from the University of South Dakota with her Bachelors Degree in Dental Hygiene in 2014. In her free time she loves to bake goodies, read, go on trips with friends and family, but mostly she loves to watch tv with her husband and her French Bulldog, Millie.
Colleen
Colleen graduated from DMACC’s Dental Hygiene program in 2006. She has been a clinical hygienist in both private practice and public health settings. Colleen enjoys spending time with her three daughters and her large extended family. Traveling, hiking, cycling, boating, attending sporting events and listening to live music are some of her favorite things.
Brooke
Brooke graduated from Iowa Central with an Associate’s Degree in Dental Hygiene in 2018. She enjoys making her patients feel confident with their smiles by educating them on proper oral hygiene. Brooke always looks forward to spending special time with family and friends on their annual trip to Colorado. Even after keeping up with her new little one every day, she loves to get a good run in. Brooke’s contagious smile makes our day!
Amy
Amy has been in the dental field for over 30 years. She was a dental assistant prior to furthering her education at DMACC and becoming a dental hygienist. Amy enjoys spending time with her husband, their three children, and many fun friends. One of her favorite things to do in the fall is to tailgate at the Iowa Hawkeye football games and cheer them on. She appreciates the great outdoors by walking the many trails in the area and enjoys the tedious job of yard work. Helping people achieve and maintain beautiful healthy smiles is the reason she loves being a hygienist.
DENTAL ASSISTANTS
Megan
Megan is a Registered Dental Assistant who works by the side of Dr. Erickson. She graduated from Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo in 2012. She loves getting to know her patients and making them feel as comfortable as possible. Megan enjoys shopping, traveling, trying new foods, watching movies, and spending time with family and friends.
Alena
Alena is a Registered Dental Assistant who works alongside Dr. Krehbiel. She has been an assistant since 2012 and appreciates building relationships with our patients and learning about their lives. Her favorite activities are shopping for clothing and unique jewelry, as well as devoting time to her family and relishing in a good BBQ.
Ajla
Ajla is a Registered Dental Assistant that has worked alongside Dr. Krehbiel since 2019. Her favorite thing about working at Hickman Family Dental is to meet new patients and build relationships with them! Her upbeat personality is a great addition to our team. In her free time, Ajla enjoys spending time with her husband and two dogs, traveling to new places, and learning how to cook new dishes.
Belma
Belma is a Registered Dental Assistant that works alongside Dr. Gallaher and has been with our practice since 2021. She is eagerly awaiting to start the dental hygiene program at DMACC . In Belma’s free time, she likes to hang out with friends and family, play sand volleyball, and go shopping.
Tami
Tami is our Office Manager and Invisalign Specialist. She has been with the office since February 2011. Tami has her degree in Psychology from Iowa State University and brings 25+ years of experience in customer service. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, attending her son’s sporting events, visiting her daughter, and traveling to the Caribbean. One day she and her family plan to visit Greece to explore her husband’s heritage.
Renata
Renata is our Patient Coordinator in the front office. Along with her background in customer service, she brings a positive attitude and a zest for life. She adores her dogs, Rocky and Lola, and spends her leisure time with family and friends. Renata relaxes by baking sweets and retail therapy, with an emphasis in shoe shopping.
